Climatic Environmental Preventive Maintenance Program

Our comprehensive maintenance checklist addresses every part, system and function of the environmental chamber. These include the chamber cabinet, electrical system, refrigeration system, humidity system and all accessories and options the chamber was ordered with. Bi-annual PM's are recommended, but annual preventive chamber maintenance is available.

DESCRIPTION OF "PM" WORK

Chamber cabinet

     > Remove plenums and check heaters, circulators and condition of refrigeration coils. Also, check and reseal any openings through rear wall for piping, tubing and electrical wiring pass-thru's.

    >  Check condition and location of all sensors.

    >  Ensure all drains and drain tubing are clear.


    Electrical
      >  Check all electrical connections and tighten wiring.
      >  Check all electrical components for proper resistance and continuity.
      >  Check input voltages, fuses and amperages of all components.
      >  Check condition and operation of all SSR's and relays.


    Refrigeration
      > Remove rear access panels and inspect refrigeration solenoids, capillaries, tubing and components.
      > Adjust refrigerant lines and capillaries from chaffing.
      > Inspect compressors oil levels, refrigerant charges, temperatures and pressures.
      > Check refrigerant systems for leaks.
      > Confirm operation of solenoids and adjustment of pressure regulators.


    Humidity
      > Clean and flush humidity generator, piping and related accessories.
      > Check high limit cut-out switches.
      > Adjust water float levels and replace wet socks.


    "NIST" Certified Calibrations
      Calibrate/verify controller TC and RTD inputs.
      > Calibrate/verify controller DC voltage and milliamp inputs such as Rotronic and Vaisala humidity sensors.
      > Calibrate chart recorders.
      > Calibrate product saver/high limit controls.


    PM Agreements can be quoted with or without calibrations. Minor repairs and adjustments are included with the PM work. If the chamber needs a major repair, a reasonable, cost effective on the spot quote will be given and repairs can be completed immediately. This avoids additional travel time expenses and further chamber downtime.

    Current "PM" customers experience much fewer or no repairs between bi-annual PM's, thus eliminating emergency service calls and testing interruptions.
